Analog•Pegasus is a San Francisco based creative community, built around the multi-use, interactive art and sound car, Analog•Pegasus.

“Analog” refers to incorporating as many analog aspects into our art and sound-making as possible in this otherwise overwhelmingly digital world. ‘’Pegasus’’ is a globally recognized and beloved symbol of inspiration and possibility, popularized during the Renaissance, and dates back to being sighted as a friend of the muses of Ancient Greece.

Through our own creative journeys we have discovered and believe that there is an artist in each of us. The intention behind this project is to help awaken the artist within, our ambition is for reaching people who have struggled with fear around creating art or music, and need that support. An Artist can be any number of things, from a quiet poet or sound explorer, to a multi faceted producer like Da Vinci himself. We want to support and celebrate that fact that there is no one way to be an artist, but infinite ways to explore what being artistic can mean.

A major feature of the Analog·Pegasus art car is the art studio on her back. This will provide the space, tools, and soundtrack for participants to come and give their input for the creation of the collective project: “Letters of Love”

“Letters of Love” encourages you to write, draw, or paint a love letter to a stranger, lover, lost- one, self, or whomever inspires you. Open exploration with analog mediums to wax the dying art of writing love letters, we invite you to bring your own tools to the table! There will be guidance provided to give some pointers or direction, if needed. We will host daily creative writing and art workshops as well. After Burning Man, completed artwork will be scanned, then compiled into a book called “Letters of Love.”

The second major aspect of this project is the stage which will feature a high quality sound-system with multiple inputs, microphones, and an array of instruments donated by the community. We welcome everyone to come and unleash their creativity at our ever-open, open mic stage, whether solo, with friends, or with the guidance and support of professional musicians.

We’re looking to showcase all levels, styles and genres from acoustic, to punk, to DJs who will keep us dancing together until sunrise. We will record as many of these shows as possible and later upload them to the digital realms to share globally.

If anything described above tickles your creative bone and you have a yearning to participate-all creative input is welcome! If you want to help us build, help with networking, funding, run the art-shop, sound-shows, teaching workshops, helping design the book, editing audio, come join the tribe! Shoot us an email about yourself, what you’re interested in and your skill set, though none is required. We look forward to hearing from you!
